Rømø

Rømø 2023.

I love being on Rømø.
A flat, windswept island in the Wadden Sea. Just sand, water, and dunes—nothing else.

And yet, it’s the place where I’ve taken more photos than anywhere else in the world. Like this one—a snapshot of the endless ways the sky, the sand, and the sea can collide.

Shot on film.
Captured with a Hasselblad 6×6 medium format camera on Kodak Portra 400. You can see part of the film negative’s edge—orange numbers on the left marking the film type, along with the two iconic V-shaped notches unique to Hasselblad cameras. Those notches are left on every negative.

Some say the “V” stands for Victor Hasselblad himself—the man behind the legend.
